Do you believe in destiny?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 16, 2007:
Apparently not. I thought about it and destiny is just too strong a word for it. I think everyone has gifts that would benefit everyone if they shared them with others. Destiny to me makes it sound like a peron's life is on some pre-ordained path. It's not that I don't believe in the divine but I don't feel my life has followed some mystical path. Too many choices at too many forks in th road for that. I do believe in reincarnation but I think your previous life gets you to your starting point at birth and from there it's up to you to make the choices and live with the consequences. To say I have a destiny just sounds like ego talking with trumpets blaring. Too-too dooo! Destiny! Hmm..yep...not so much.

nice. :) trumpets. when I hear the trumpets I’ll know I’m on the right path. until then…. I’ll just keep wandering around wherever my heart leads me. :)
